Look!  Parking cones hold recorders perfectly and you don’t accidentally run them over (well, viagra sales cure we try not to…).  Pipe insulation works to isolate Microphone Stands (John’s idea…) Orange Duct Tape (I hate duct tape but this stuff you can see even at a blurry eyed 3:00am) and last but not least, troche the Audix OM5.  Better known as an SM57 if an SM57 was a microphone and not actually a hammer disguised as a microphone.
